If you’re wondering whether Comfort Inn lives up to its name, you’re in the right place. We stayed at this hotel last week, and I can assure you that my review is honest and straightforward. Located in Tenjin, Fukuoka, this hotel is one of the best options if you’re looking for convenience and easy access to shops, train stations, and restaurants.
The Room
Upon entering the room, we immediately concluded that Comfort Inn truly lives up to its name. Our room was spacious, with twin beds (to be honest, I just realized how convenient it is to have one bed for each of us). It also made the room feel even more spacious .
Each bed had its own outlet and reading lamp, and there was a seating area on one side.
To the left of the door, there was a multipurpose working space/vanity table/mini bar. The fridge, kettle, hair dryer, and cutlery were neatly placed there.
To the right as you enter, there was a small area to hang coats and shirts, a safe, and slippers.
The bathroom was clean and not cramped, which was a huge plus.
Other Amenities
The hotel features a restaurant (although we didn’t dine there), a laundromat, a vending machine area, and a smoking area, all located on the second floor.
Service
The service was good overall, but there was a slight hiccup. While we were still sleeping, a staff member knocked on our door to ask if she could clean the room. It was almost noon, so it wasn’t entirely her fault, but we weren’t in a hurry and chose to sleep in. This same situation happened every day during our stay.
One time, I asked her if she could clean the room at 2 PM instead, but she replied that she had to go to the university and could only clean until 1 PM. Realizing she was a part-time employee, I told her not to worry about cleaning the room and just requested fresh towels instead.
While I understood her situation, I couldn’t help but wonder if someone else could take over her tasks after her shift ends, especially for cases where guests prefer to sleep in.
Location
As mentioned earlier, the location is excellent. It’s within walking distance of the shopping hub, subway station, train station, bus station, Tenjin Chuo Park, and Canal City. Bars and restaurants are also abundant in the area, making it an ideal spot for tourists.
