Konnichiwa! あけましておめでとうございます。ことしもよろしくおねがいします!I’m back from a 3-month hiatus. It’s not yet too late to greet everyone a Happy New Year, right? Winter is making me a lazy dog. I need the inspiration to write. But hey it’s better late than never so as my first blog entry for 2018, I wrote about my Tokyo Disney Sea getaway with my fiancé. This was last October. Long overdue. I know. Here you go.🐒
If you’re confused about which one to visit [Disney Sea or Disneyland], here’s a tip for you. If you’re planning to go with your significant other, pick the Tokyo Disney Sea. It’s a place couples enjoy. To clarify, Tokyo Disney Sea is suitable for all ages, it’s just that it was designed or built to appeal to grownups. As a matter of fact, liquor is not prohibited there while it is in Tokyo Disneyland. I’m not telling you this for you to buy a lot of alcoholic drinks and get wasted there. Hehe. Hello? There’s a lot to enjoy in Disney Sea like the exciting rides, food and especially the famous Fantasmic. On the other hand, if you’re traveling with your family especially kids, Disneyland is the one for you. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t visit both. Why not visit both? After Disney Sea, head on to Disneyland the next time you have free time. Besides, they’re just next to each other.
So, I ventured with my fiancé, our cameras secured in our backpacks. We’re not professionals (whispers). We just were eager beavers, ready to unleash our power. Kidding!
The ticket we purchased:
*Starlight Passport*
- Adult (18 and over): 5,400 yen – Junior (ages 12-17): 4,700 yen – Child (ages 4-11): 3,500 yen
- Good for entry to after 15:00 on weekends and national holidays. The Starlight Passport is not available on days when the park closes before 22:00.
Please visit this website for further info. I checked this site as my guide for ticket details when my fiancé mentioned about Starlight Passport.
Here are some of the photos we both took.
We spent 7 hours there but weren’t able to try all the rides and witness the shows they take pride in. I’m not sad though. After all, I got to watch my favorite Ariel show. You know “The Little Mermaid”? Who doesn’t anyway? She’s quite famous.
