Nagasaki~A Special Place

What a sight!☀️

Nagasaki. Why is it a special place for me? Read on…

It is still as clear as crystal when my boyfriend told me that he would introduce me to his family. That means going to the Land of the Rising Sun~ Japan🇯🇵. He is a Japanese and I am a Filipino, by the way. His hometown is Nagasaki. A very historical place and located in Kyushu. So, yeah. I was tongue-tied for a while, could not utter a word. Did I hear that right? Is he kidding me? He must be kidding me! These are the questions on my mind that time. But he was not kidding at all. Last October 19, 2016, we flew to Japan and I met his family. That special event is one for the books. I will share to you how did it go. Meeting the parents is something challenging. Soon, I will share. Anyhow, Nagasaki is not as bustling as Osaka. It is a place where you can enjoy the nature with a spirit of the metropolitan. You might think it has nothing to offer but it actually has a lot. Please scroll down and check out the photos.

This one took me back to the Spanish Period.

The locals in front of the China Town.

The wide road is always present.

The local train.

The streets of Nagasaki at night.

Douza in Nagasaki. For night out.

Their buses are amazing. The next photo will answer why it is amazing.

Amazing buses. They have buzzers in which you press whenever you reach at the bus stop of your destination. Well, we do not have it in the Philippines. You do not have to shout.

In case you do not want to miss their signature red curry, this is the place for you.

Wharf. Where you can enjoy the sea breeze.

The huge cruise ship.

Relaxing.

The seaside park is good for frolicking especially kids.

You have my respect, Japan.

Hot springs? Go to Nagasaki and be amazed!

A shopping mall.

I hope you have a better image of Nagasaki now that I have shown you the photos. So, this is why Nagasaki is a special place for me. It is because of its uniqueness and of course because it is the hometown of the person who owns my heart.

I have visited important tourist spots and will share it next time around. Have you been to Nagasaki? I would love to hear from you.😘

I hope so. That would be on the list. Indonesia is famous for honeymoon especially Bali. Is it near your place?

Bali is so famous with its culture, nature and foods, very recommended! It took 2 hours by plane from my place (Jakarta), quite far. Indonesia has a lot of amazing destinations, maybe you would take a look at Raja Ampat in Papua and Tanjung Puting in Borneo too.

I’d love to visit your country but it’s not soon. I need money. Hehe.

I hope you don’t mind but I’m very curious with meeting the parents. hahaha I’m living in Japan for 2 years now and from what I heard if a Japanese man introduce you to his parents, it means he is really serious with you. cause most Japanese don’t do that. As Filipino, in our culture it’s normal but for Japanese culture it means he plans to marry you. omg! I’m so happy for you! hahaha

    1. Bethy says:

Hi, Hana! I’ve also heard about that. However, he hasn’t proposed yet. Hehe. Anyhow, we’re still enjoying and not in a hurry to get married. But of course I want him to be my forever na. For now, I still have plans to work in Japan. I might go there this year. I’ve read your posts and I might experience some of what you’ve written. Thank you for dropping by!
